Funky Buddha Tap Handle

Concept for an updated design for Funky Buddha’s Iconic tap handle. The goal for this project was to design a slicker more modern version of the current tap handle, that still displays the iconic Buddha and the unique branding for each beer flavor.

The original tap handle is a colored Buddha statue, and while unique, is far wider than most tap handles and it lacks any other branding other than the label in the front. For the updated tap handle’s body I created a slimmer shaft with embossed text, which is both branded and easier to grab. Each “flavored” tap contains a unique “puck” with an embossed version of their label, and added color accents/waterslide decals that reinforce the branding. The generic taps where designed to be similar to the “flavored” ones but they display the main colors of the main brand, and have a blank “puck” for interchangeable labels.
